We are delighted that Alan Titchmarsh introduced the Wetterhoun and the philosophy of preservation breeding in his wonderful show - Love Your Weekend.  You can see our appearance here:

The Wetterhoun is a rare breed of dog with a world population of around 1000.  They are a common sight in their own region of Friesland in the Netherlands where they are treasured as both working dogs and family companions.  Dogs are registered by the Dutch Kennel Club and the family trees can be traced back over many generations.

In the UK, there are currently 12 Wetterhounen.  The UK Stabyhoun Association which represents both the Frisian rare breeds is establishing a responsible breeding programme, with the advice and support of the Breeding Committee of the Dutch Association (NVSW - Nederlandse Vereniging voor Stabij- en Wetterhounen).

We are delighted to announce the arrival of the first UK litter on 5th April 2023.
